Nara Park, Nara City, Kansai, Japan
Alongside Naramachi and Nishinokyo, Nara Park is one of the must-see areas in Nara City. The vast area covers 660 hectares and is renowned for its free-roaming deer and world famous temples. Feeding the deer is an attraction in itself and special crackers are on sale all around the park. There are traditional tea houses as well as kiosks selling snacks and souvenirs. Arashiyama, Kyoto, Kansai, Japan
Arashiyama is a sprawling area in western Kyoto centered around the Katsura River and surrounding mountains. Arashiyama is an extremely popular tourist spot visitors to Kyoto won’t want to miss. Any given day you’re likely to see people in kimono or yukata enjoying local food, shopping, and pilgrimages to the local temples. Rickshaw drivers wait to carry you to your destination, whether it be the natural beauty of the bamboo forest or the man-made temples that have stood in Arashiyama for hundreds of years. Spring time is an excellent time to visit Arashiyama.
Lake Kawaguchi, Yamanshi, Japan
On a still, clear day, you can see a perfect mirror image of Mt. Fuji reflected in the lake. With hot springs, good fishing, museums and plenty of attractions, the lake makes for a relaxing add-on to your Tokyo vacation. Visit during the spring for sakura peeping!

Aomori, in Northern Japan is probably best known for its apple products but make no mistake the cherry blossom season is a not-to-miss time to visit this city in the Tohoku region.

Miyajima, Hiroshima, Chugoku, Japan
Combine history and culture during your cherry blossom vacation in Japan by heading to the Chugoku region of Japan. Visit the Atomic Bomb Dome and the Peace Memorial Museum in Hiroshima. Then take the short ferry ride to Miyajima Island to learn about Shinto culture and see some of Japan's best displays of cherry blossoms.
